Appeal for witnesses after collision in Littleborough

Car accident outside Wine Press, Hollingworth Lake
Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Littleborough which left a 77-year-old man in hospital with serious head injuries.
At around 7.45pm on Monday 30 November 2015, a blue Vauxhall Corsa driven by the 77-year-old was travelling south east along Rakewood Road.
As he drove around the tight corner at the junction with Lake Bank, near to the Wine Press, the car mounted the pavement and collided with the railings.
The man was extracted from the vehicle by the fire service and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
