Penguin Parade - children at Genesis Day Care Nurseries
A Winter Wonderland chill blew through Genesis Day Care Nurseries in Rochdale and Milnrow this week.
There’s no snow outside, but the children and staff welcomed a parade of penguins.
Children from both nurseries had fun creating masks and learning Christmas songs as they prepared for the end-of-year parties.
The penguin idea was hatched by children in the pre-school room at Rochdale, with help from nursery manager Pam Gillman. She said: “We have a diverse range of children at Genesis, so the penguin theme was a great way to get them all involved.
"This year’s Christmas celebrations will see everyone marching like penguins and singing festive songs. There will be party food and a visit from a very special guest in a red suit.
"Children from the Milnrow branch will also enjoy a carol concert at Milnrow Parish Church, a fabulous event that is well-attended by parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles."
