Car overturns at Hollingworth Lake

Car accident outside Wine Press, Hollingworth Lake
A car overturned close to the Wine Press, Hollingworth Lake last night (Monday 30 November).
Emergency services attended and fire service crew helped to release the male driver from the car.
A police spokesman said: "We were called at 7.45pm Hollingworth Road, outside the Wine Press, and on arrival found a blue Vauxhall Corsa on its roof. The fire service assisted in getting male driver out who was taken to hospital."
It is understood the driver was not seriously injured.
Update: The driver's daughter, Kirsty Mainwaring contacted us after the accident and said: "My Dad is extremely poorly and remains in hospital".
