No child should be homeless
Date published: 29 November 2015
Dear Editor,
This Christmas, 100,000 children will be homeless. It’s time to do something about it.
No child should be homeless, but this year 100,000 children in Britain will wake up on Christmas morning without a place to call home.
Many of those homeless children will be in our home town of Rochdale.
Shelter is calling for a solution to the housing crisis, and asking supporters across the UK to ask George Osborne to prevent children becoming homeless by making sure all families have a safe, secure and affordable home.
Rochdale Online readers can do so in a matter of moments at the Shelter home page at:
http://england.shelter.org.uk/campaigns/homelesschildren?petition
Thank you for acting to remedy this situation and for standing up for homeless children whose families do not have a choice or a voice.
Yours,
Andrew Wastling
