Wardle Village Church Christmas Fair
Date published: 22 November 2015
Wardle Village Church held their annual Christmas Fair on Saturday to raise money for church funds.
The event included numerous stalls such as handcrafted goods, toys, cakes and books. There were also games including a lucky dip, guess the name of the teddy and guess the weight of the cake.
Organiser Carol Lake said: “It has been good and we have really enjoyed it. I do think the weather has put some people off but it has still been a good event.”
The fair usually raises around £500 for church funds and the organisers are hoping to achieve that total again.
Carol added: “It would be nice to raise that much again but it is not necessarily about money. It is about the community and is an event for the community.”
