Motorcyclist taken to hospital following collision with car

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with injuries to his back following a collision with a car on Whitworth Road, Rochdale.
The motorcyclist was taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital for treatment, but it is thought that his injury is not serious.
Police were called to Whitworth Road at 5.42pm to reports of a collision between a motorbike and a Volkswagen golf.
The road was blocked for a short period but was re-opened again by 6.42pm.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital via ambulance.
