Springhill Hospice Santa Dawdle or Dash 2014
Springy the Hospice Frog, Pearl Benbow, MP Simon Danczuk and over 400 santas at the start line
The Springhill Hospice Christmas Fair, held on Sunday 15 November,raised £11,400.
Lights of Love Services will be taking place at Rochdale Parish Church and Springhill Hospice.

The Food’s Around the World in Rochdale event held on Thursday 19 November raised £1,032.60. 83 people attended the event at The Peacock Room in Bamford.
Joan Mills and her friend Dorothy Lord recently presented the hospice with a cheque for £400. The money was raised in memory of Dorothy’s late husband Beighton Lord. The ladies raised the money by converting Joan’s hairdressing salon into a tea room for the afternoon.
Jennifer, Robert and Jean raised £225 for the hospice by swimming the length of the channel at Rochdale Swimming Pool. The group swam 1,416 lengths – a total of 22 miles to raise the money.
Staff and students from Ridley House at Crompton House School have been raising money for the hospice through selling cakes.
The Winter Wonderland Lunch at Nutters restaurant on Wednesday 9 December is sold out.
Man of Rochdale
The man of Rochdale luncheon will be held on Friday 27 November at Rochdale Town Hall. Current Man of Rochdale, Harry Bell, will be handing over his title to this year’s winner.

180 people have already signed up to take part in the Santa Dawdle or Dash event at Hollingworth Lake. This year the event is celebrating its tenth anniversary so the fundraising team are hoping to smash last year’s target.
