Councillor Aasim Rashid at the European Parliament
Castleton Councillor Aasim Rashid recently attended a session at European Parliament in Brussels, organised by Afzal Khan MEP, with other UK delegates.
Councillor Rashid said: “The session was to create awareness and how important it is for the UK to stay in Europe. There are huge benefits such as equality, human rights, consumer rights, minimum wage and trade benefits through the EU.
“It's our responsibility to kick start a campaign and educate others to remain in the EU.”
The session was also attended by North West Labour MEPs Julie Ward and Theresa Griffin.
