Michael Burke pleads not guilty to charges of rape, attempted rape and indecent assault

Michael Burke (03/09/1978) pleaded not guilty to seventeen charges – 11 of rape, five of indecent assault and one of attempted rape and a trial date has been set.
Burke, of College Bank, Rochdale, appeared at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court today (17 November), where a trial date was set for 10 October 2016.
The trial is expected to last three weeks.
The charges are in relation to the historic sexual abuse of two girls, who at the time were aged under 14 and under 16 and a woman. The incidents took place between May 1990 and March 2010.

Burke has been bailed, with conditions, until 18 February 2016, when he next has to appear at Crown Court.
