College named Royal Air Force Platinum Partner

Hopwood Hall College has been given a plaque to acknowledge that they are now a ‘Platinum Partner’ with the RAF. The College has been given the Platinum status because over the last five years, 85 of their students have applied to join and 55 have been successful.
The partnership means that the College will get at least four visits per year from RAF personnel who will be doing careers talks for students.
The College has also put in place a bespoke RAF recruitment package for its Uniformed Public Services students. From the four careers visits, RAF personnel will identify the learners that really want to join the RAF and then put them into a pre-recruitment programme, which includes the Airman Selection Test, mock interviews and in-depth careers advice.
Paula Litherland, Programme Manager for Uniformed Public Services, said: “We are really proud to be named a RAF ‘Platinum Partner’ and we are immensely proud of the students that have achieved jobs with them. Over the coming year, we are hoping to recruit many more students with aspirations to enter the RAF.”
