Borough to remember victims of Paris terror attacks with books of condolence

Heywood flags are flying at half-mast in Memorial Gardens to remember the victims of the Paris attacks
Books of condolence in memory of the victims of the Paris terrorist attacks has been opened.
The books can be signed at Rochdale Town Hall, Middleton Arena, Middleton Library, Number One Riverside, Heywood Library or Littleborough Library.
You can also leave your messages of solidarity online at www.rochdale.gov.uk/condolence
The French flag has been flying at half-mast at Rochdale Town Hall and at Heywood Memorial Gardens since Monday.
Council Leader Richard Farnell said: “The attacks in Paris struck not just in the heart of France but also in the heart of everyone across the world who enjoys the freedoms and values that generations of people have fought so hard for.
"We stand with the families and friends of those killed during the attacks; they are in our thoughts and prayers and we extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to them.”
