Imperial Dry Cleaners donate £500 to Mayor’s Charity Appeal

Date published: 17 November 2015

Imperial Dry Cleaners on Whitworth Road, Rochdale celebrated 20 years in business by donating £500 to the Mayor’s Charity Appeal.

Imperial, which was opened in 1995 by Mohammed Javed and his family, decided to donate the money to the Mayor’s Charity Appeal as a way of saying thank you to their loyal customers.

Mr Javed said: “We are very pleased to be able to make a donation of £500 towards the Mayor’s charity. This is our way of saying thank you to our customers.”

Following their opening 20 years ago, the family have worked hard to build up the business from scratch.

Mr Javed added: “It was not easy. We had to deal with various issues in managing our business and keep moving in the right direction. Like every other business we have seen ups and downs, but I am glad that we are now running a successful business in town.”

Mr Javed has recently made an investment in the latest dry cleaning machines and says he is proud to offer an “excellent service” to his customers.

The Mayor’s Charity Appeal for 2015-2016 is raising money for Petrus, Pakeeza Women’s Group, Children’s Deaf Society, Shopmobility and Springhill Hospice as well as other local charities.
