Ramadhan Foundation 'strongly condemns' Paris terrorist attacks

Date published: 15 November 2015

Mohammed Shafiq, Chief Executive of the Rochdale-based Ramadhan Foundation, comments: "I strongly condemn the terrorist atrocities in Paris, these vile and evil crimes are an attack against all of humanity.

"As British Muslims we send our solidarity, prayers and condolences to the French people. During their dark hour they will see compassion and solidarity from around the world.

"The Ramadhan Foundation has been clear for many years that Islam totally forbids terrorism, those that carry out such actions are enemies of Islam. The evil ideology of terrorists needs to be exposed and eradicated.

"Whilst it is too early to speculate about the people behind the Paris attack we must remain vigilant. On Thursday we saw terrorists attacks in Lebanon, on Friday terrorist attacks in Iraq and now in Paris. One thing is clear, terrorist groups and their supporters around the world pose an immediate threat to all and we must defeat their barbarism.

"There can be no excuses for this terrorism and we stand united together irrespective of religion, race or nationality. In the end terrorists want to divide communities and we must not let them succeed."
