Milnrow (Ladybarn) Bowling Club
Milnrow (Ladybarn) Bowling Club is one of the 'Community Grassroots Giving' winners for 2015 and the reward is a cheque for £500 and a framed certificate.
Ken Davies MBE, Chairman, Milnrow (Ladybarn) Bowling Club said: "Having been previously shortlisted, we were then contacted to be advised that our application was successful, having received enough public online votes to make it into the top group of winners.
"The money is to be used to provide a new entrance to the Club and create car parking spaces."
A spokesperson for Grassroots Giving sent congratulations to the Club and commented: “On the fantastic work that you do and for being so active in supporting your local community”.
The awards were sponsored by Skipton Building Society and this year over one thousand community groups, clubs and organisations from across the UK entered the initiative, to demonstrate how they make a positive impact in their local community.
