Lancashire Flag stolen from Hare Hill House

Date published: 09 November 2015

One of the two Lancashire Flags and Flag Pole were stolen from the front of Hare Hill House between Tuesday 3 and Thursday 5 November.

Lisa Burke, Chairwoman of Friends of Hare Hill Park said: “The flag and pole were stolen, but I believe there was also some damage to Littleborough Library as well.”

Councillor Janet Emsley said: “The theft was made worse because a young person bought it because he wanted the house to have a flag.”

Nick Andrews, Hare Hill House Project Champion said: "We are very disappointed that one of our Lancashire Flags and Flag Pole has been taken from the front of the House.

"The Hare Hill heroes are making great efforts to save the House for the Littleborough community.

"Indeed the community have supported our efforts both in fund raising and the carrying out of repair and improvement works.

"To replace the Flag and Flag Pole will cost about £35.

"If whoever took the flag would like to return it, leave it at the House at anytime and cheer up a lot of people working hard for your community."
