The Friends of Norden Jubilee Park have been awarded an ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood Award’ (level 4 - thriving) at the Britain in Bloom North West Awards.
Judges from the RHS visited the park a few months ago and are said to have been “extremely impressed” with that they saw.
The award was given to the friends group and volunteers for their hard work in planting flower beds with a colourful display of flowers and shrubs.
The group also recently installed a notice board.
Chairman of Friends of Norden Jubilee Park, Paul Ellison said: "To receive this award is a great achievement to all involved and the community, but next year we are aiming to score level 5 - outstanding."
