Harry Bell, whose idea the Northern Lights Ball was, and Steve Barton, who helped to organise the event. presented cheques of £2,000 each to the organisations on Tuesday (3 November).
Michael Robin Blackman, the Secretary of the Rochdale branch of the Royal British Legion, said: “The donation is greatly appreciated. It will go to the general funds for the Royal British Legion in Rochdale.”
Denis Skelton, from Petrus, said: “We are delighted with the donation, it is smashing. The money will go towards our provision that we provide for homeless people across Rochdale, so it will help us with the running costs of those services.”
