Team Karting Halloween family fun day in aid of Springhill Hospice

Date published: 01 November 2015

Team Karting, located on Queensway, Rochdale held a Halloween themed family fun day in aid of Springhill Hospice on Saturday (31 October).

The event included a bouncy castle, face painting, penalty shoot out, tombola and discounted karting.

Shula Donnelly, from Team Karting, said: “With it being Halloween we thought it would be a good chance for everyone to dress up and get involved with a fun day, in aid of a good charity.”

Money raised from the event will go to Springhill Hospice, a charity close to Shula’s heart.

She added: “It is a local charity that is close to our families hearts because we have had family at the Hospice, so we wanted to do something for them as it is an important place for us.”

This was the first family fun day event held by the centre, which opened almost a year ago.

Shula added: “We are really pleased. We haven’t set a fundraising total but whatever we can get will be great.”
