Fright night - the Farm of Terror returns
Date published: 26 October 2015
Media Make-up students with farmer Terry Bork
Halloween has arrived early at Hopwood Hall College this year as the Media Make-Up students prepare for the fright of their lives.
The students will be helping local farmer, Terry Bork, create the annual ‘Farm of Terror’ event at Huttock Top Farm in Bacup from 23 October to 31 October.
The students will be doing all of the special effects make-up for the Halloween event in a real working environment, creating frightful faces and deadly designs on actors and actresses for one of Lancashire’s scariest attractions.
Terry visited the College earlier this month to brief the group of students and talk them through the scenes that they need to recreate.
The Level 3 Media Make-Up students will be working at the Halloween event to create the horrific SFX make-up to scare those who dare to attend the event. They have been practicing their creations in class, researching zombies and the living dead and working closely with Terry.
