The Mayor and Mayoress of Rochdale, Surinder and Cecile Biant, recently judged a public prize competition ‘Work & Play in the Borough of Rochdale’, set to celebrate Rochdale Photographic Society's 125th Anniversary.
Prize-winners will be announced at Touchstones Rochdale in the afternoon of 7 November, where the prizes, sponsored by Pennine Photographic of Drake Street, will be announced and awarded by the Mayor and Mayoress.
The photographs submitted showed a wide range of activities taking part in the Borough, from individuals enjoying themselves or working industriously, to team sports and taking part in festivals.
The event at Touchstones will be open to the public all day, members of the Society will be there to answer questions and help people with their photography.
The afternoon events will also include a contribution by the Creative Writing Group and a tribute to the River Roch by the Society's members.
