Rochdale Festival of Brass 2015
The Rochdale Festival of Brass returned to the this weekend.
Taking place in Rochdale Town Hall, seven youth bands from across the North West competed for first place. Rochdale was represented by Rochdale Borough Brass Band and Whitworth Vale and Healey Youth.
Following the youth contest, Milnrow Band held a Gala Concert to give the audience the opportunity to listen to the NWABBA 2014 Rochdale Contest Champion Band.
The North West Area Brass Band Association (NWABBA) reintroduced the festival to Rochdale last year and is now in its second year in its current format. The festival follows a long tradition of brass band competitions held in Rochdale and in particular, Rochdale Town Hall.
The event continued today Sunday (25 October) and 37 bands competed in the NWABBA Rochdale Contest. Rochdale represented by Littleborough, Middleton, Whitworth and Milnrow bands.
