Alex Newbon received the Sports Personality of the Year Award at the Siddal Moors Sports Awards evening on 15 October.

Olivia Taylor received The Anne Denny Award, which is presented for outstanding endeavour and progress.

Harrison Jacques, Erin Broadhurst, Josh McDaid and Jess Tyrrell, KS3 & 4 leaders were presented with special awards.

Over 80 students received awards for their commitment to PE, progress in Sport and for their attitude to helping others.

Head of PE Mr Jeffrey commented: "I am so proud of the achievements of our students, they work so hard in lessons, during extra-curricular training and fixtures and deserve the awards they have received tonight."

Parents and students enjoyed a buffet and drinks reception before the presentation of awards.

Approximately 300 people were in attendance including school governors and our special guest, Josh Beaumont, who plays at No 8 for Sale sharks. The hall looked amazing thanks to 'All Events Covered' who created the front stage centre-piece.
