Body of 48-year old man found in Heywood

The body of a 48-year-old man has been found in Heywood.
Police and paramedics were called to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) building on Manchester Road, Heywood at 10am this morning.
North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) confirmed that they received a call at 10.01am and sent an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle to the scene.
It is understood that a NWAS Officer has remained on scene to help the police.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “At 10am on Monday 19 October 2015, police were called to an area off of Manchester Road in Heywood following a report that a body had been found.
“Officers attended and found the body of a 48-year-old man.
“Enquiries are being conducted into the circumstances surrounding this man’s death, but at this stage it is not believed to be suspicious and will be passed to the Coroner.
“The man’s family have been informed.”
It is not yet know if the body was found inside of the building or nearby.
