Littleborough bridge restored to its former glory
Date published: 16 October 2015
A Littleborough bridge has been restored to its former glory.
Vandals had turned the pedestrian overpass near Greenvale mill into an eyesore by scrawling graffiti on the sides.
The bridge has now been restored to its former glory thanks to the efforts of local Councillor John Hartley who pressured Network Rail into giving it a fresh coat of paint.
Councillor Hartley said: “It is sad that a handful of vandals have decided to ruin this walkway, members of the public should not have to put up with it.
“I’m glad that Network Rail finally listened to my constant badgering and stepped in to resolve the problem. I hope local residents enjoy the new look railway bridge.”
