Declan Hilton met Father Christmas at the 2014 Springhill Hospice Christmas Fair
The Hospice Christmas Fair will take place on Sunday 15 November. The fundraising team are making an appeal for tombola prizes and bric-a-brac. Anything you can think of, they need it.
So far 50 people have emtered for this year’s Santa Dawdle or Dash. The event is in its tenth year and the fundraising team are hoping to make it the biggest event of the year. To enter, visit:

Wardle News will be donating the money that they charge for a carrier bag to Springhill Hospice. Money collected for carrier bags will be put into a collection tin for the Hospice.
Heywood resident Phillip Parkinson raised £860 for the Hospice by cycling over 800 miles to John O’Groats.
Staff from the Co-Op in Belfield have raised £297 for the Hospice after holding a raffle in store.
The Hospice would like to wish everyone taking part in the Adrenaline Rush and the 24 Mile Pennine Walk this weekend the best of luck.
Man of Rochdale
Nominations are still being accepted for this year’s Man of Rochdale. To make your nomination for the Man of Rochdale award, complete a nomination form and return it along with a cover letter outlining your reasons for choosing your nominee.

Your cover letter/email should be of no more than 500 words - the closing date is Monday 26 October.
Please note that your nominee can only be considered if he passes the following criteria:
- He must work or live in the Borough of Rochdale.
- He must not already have received a Royal award.
- He must be an ‘unsung’ member of the general public having voluntarily given of his time and efforts to improve the lives of others within the Rochdale Borough.

Enjoy a festive fun day walking around the 2015 Christmas Fair. This year there will be over 40 stalls and seasonal treats for everyone. The event starts at 10am and entry is free.
