One man was led to safety after fire crews were called to a fire at a first floor flat in Lower Falinge on Wednesday (14 October).

The fire service received a call at 6:54pm to reports of a fire in the flat in the Pershore block of Falinge flats.

When crews arrived, it was discovered that the fire had started from a pan of food that had been left unattended.

Firefighters were on scene for around twenty minutes and used hose reels, breathing apparatus and a pressure fan to extinguish the fire.
