Falinge Park High School clothes collection for the refugee crisis
Pupils at Falinge Park High School have responded magnificently to a call from Tutor Group G2, who were determined to make a difference to the lives of refugees in Europe.
They started by producing a heart-rending appeal for clothes and food using a PowerPoint, which was then shown in assemblies and tutor lessons.
They then collected the large quantities of clothes and toiletries brought in by pupils school-wide, and delivered them to the Shamwari Project, a Rochdale organisation which has been supporting refugees and asylum seekers for over 10 years.
After such a great start pupils are determined to strengthen their new links with the organisation in the future.
