Hamer Community Primary School
School council IPLCN Event
The Hamer Higher Level Teaching Assistant Team organised a school council outdoor learning event at Ashworth Valley on Wednesday 30 September. The school councils and staff from the 11 Inspirational Professional Learning Community Network (IPLCN) schools had a wonderful day, getting to know each other, working and learning together. We really are proud of our Collaborative School Links across Rochdale & Oldham.
Curriculum Evenings at Hamer
Thank you to all parents who came to the recent curriculum evenings in each Unit in school. These crucial learning events were very well attended and we thank parents, as always, for your partnership with Hamer.
Donations to Rochdale Foodbank
Once again, Hamer families have proved themselves incredibly generous at Harvest time to bring in lots of donations of food, which will be making their way shortly to the Rochdale Foodbank, to help some of the most vulnerable members of our wonderful community here in Rochdale. Thank you.
M6 Theatre production - Tadpoles
Thank you to our M6 theatre colleagues for inviting the KS1 and EYFS children to see their latest production ‘Tadpoles’. The children thoroughly enjoyed a high quality and entertaining performance.
Book Fair
Thank you to all families who attended the recent book fair. £340 worth of books were sold and this means we can have 20% commission in books to stock up the school library resources
Collecting Children from After School Clubs
It is absolutely essential that school safeguarding procedures are followed beyond question – even when parents feel that they are in a rush to get home from collecting children from clubs. Please wait until the school professional in charge hands over your child; we must be stringently responsible to account for the handover. Thank you.
Enterprise Week
Hamer will be enjoying a week of enterprise initiatives in the week beginning 19 October. The theme for the week will be “Recycling”. Children may be coming home asking for things to use and the week will lead up to an Enterprise Fair in school to which parents are warmly invited.
Best Attendance
Well done to Miss Begum, Miss Holden, Miss Birchenough, Mr Nadin and Miss Weaver’s Classes with best attendance for week ending 25 September 2015.
Please support us by ensuring that your child is on time and in school every day.
