Essence Hair and Beauty in Littleborough have been raising money for Macmillan by holding a coffee and cake morning.
Held at the beauty salon on Church Street, the fundraising included offers on treatments, raffles with prizes donated by local businesses, guess the spots on the cake and homemade cake from customers and staff.
Kirby Ogden, from the salon, said: “We wanted to do something to show our support for the cause. A lot of our customers have been affected by cancer, as have we, so we wanted to do something to support our customers and the charity.”
The salon didn’t set a fundraising target but were pleased with the support they had received.
Kirby added: “We are really pleased. We have had lots of money and lots of support so it has gone really well.”
