Rochdale resident Sabrina Branwood has raised £355 following her campaign to raise awareness of selective mutism.
Sabrina, who suffers from the condition, wanted to raise money to help fund training that people can access to learn how to recognise and help somebody suffering from the condition.
She said: “I was hoping to raise enough money to fund at least one lot of training and if I managed to raise more, than all the better as training is much needed in Rochdale.”
Sabrina has also secured non-money pledges.
A trainer who currently conducts selective mutism training has pledged to do training at a reduced cost and Rochdale and District Mind, where Sabrina is a volunteer, has offered to hold a coffee morning at its Rochdale based internet café, with money raised going towards the training.
Sabrina will now continue her campaign throughout October, which is Selective Mutism Awareness month.
