Todmorden Road retaining wall between Fair View and Grove Cottages
Contractors are due to begin working on the reconstruction/refurbishment of the retaining wall located on Todmorden Road between Fair View and Grove Cottages.
The work started on Monday (28 September) and will take 12 weeks.
Work commenced with the removal of vegetation and trees at the back of the wall.
Reconstruction will then begin at the Grove Cottage end with temporary traffic lights in place from there to approximately half way along the wall (around 150m length of traffic management).
The position of the lights will switch to the Fair View end of the scheme as the construction work progresses.
