Eid family fun day
Date published: 26 September 2015
An Eid family fun day raised money to go towards the Neeli Masjid extension project.
Organised by Nabz Mustafa, the event included activities for children such as Laser Tag, a bouncy castle and face painting and stalls including Hijabs, clothes and make up.
Mr Mustafa said: “We wanted to do something different with this event so thought we would bring it outside and make it bigger than usual.”
Mr Mustafa, who regularly organises events for charity, wanted to help raise money for the extension of the mosque.
He added: “We want to extend the mosque because there isn’t enough room and lots of people want to join so whatever money we will get will go towards that.”
Mr Mustafa said that he would be happy with whatever is raised: “I never set a total for my events and will be happy with whatever we get.
"It has gone really well.”
