Car stolen from Smithybridge recovered in Rochdale

Monday 21 September

A car stolen in Smithy Bridge on Sunday (20 September) evening was recovered by RPU patrols in Rochdale. The car was recovered eight minutes after it was stolen.

A female aged 50 was arrested for public order and making off without payment.

A male aged 41 was arrested for harassment.

A female aged 33 was arrested for drink/drug driving.

A 31-year-old Rochdale man was arrested for assault and breach of a restraining order.

A 26-year-old man arrested was for harassment.

Mary O'Neill (13/12/1981), from Rochdale, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level was above the limit. She has been bailed to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on 6 November.

A male from Rochdale was arrested on Sunday (20 September) evening for public order received a fixed penalty notice.

A 38-year-old man was arrested for harassment.

A 24-year-old man was arrested for possessing controlled drugs with intent to supply.

A man aged 32, from Rochdale, was arrested for two counts of assault.

A female aged 15 answered her bail in relation to robbery and firearms offences. She has since been re-bailed with conditions to attend Bury Custody Office on 15 November pending further enquiries.

Tuesday 22 September

Lee Taylor (07/12/1993), from Rochdale, has been charged with producing controlled drugs and bailed to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on 6 November.

Peter Shaw (30/01/1974), from Rochdale, has been charged with harassment (without violence) and bailed with conditions to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on 5 October.

A female was arrested for assault.

A man was arrested for breaching a court order.

A 38-year-old man was arrested for conspiracy and possessing controlled drugs with intent to supply.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on warrant and possession of a controlled drugs.

Craig Forman (05/02/1992), from Rochdale, has been charged with criminal damage and bailed with conditions to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on 6 November.

A van driver hogging the middle lane of the M62, J18-J21, forcing traffic into lane three to pass him, was issued with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR).

An Audi TT was also spotted hogging the middle lane of the M62 J19-21 in the roadworks, causing mayhem for HGVs.

Wednesday 23 September

A 45-year-old man was arrested for breaching his bail conditions.

A 34-year-old female was arrested for assault and criminal damage.

A man aged 22 was arrested for attempted theft, public order and an assault.

Ryan Coffrey (22/09/1994) has been charged with obstructing a police officer in the execution of duty and drunk and disorderly. Coffrey is bailed to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on 6 November.

Thursday 24 September

A 59-year-old Rochdale man arrested for being drunk and disorderly on Wednesday (23 September) evening has received a Fixed Penalty Notice.

Neville Simms (01/01/1970), from Rochdale, has been charged with breaching his bail conditions and was conveyed to Bury and Rochdale Magistrates.

Sean Dempsey (25/12/1992), from Rochdale, has been charged with two counts of assault and theft from a shop. He is also charged with a further offence of assaulting a constable in the execution of his/her duty. Dempsey was conveyed to Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court.

A 19-year-old male was arrested for assault and criminal damage.

A 16-year-old male was arrested for three counts of criminal damage.

Darren Bennett (08/12/1966), from Rochdale, answered his bail and has since been charged with possessing a controlled drug and bailed to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on 13 November.

A 27-year-old male was arrested for two counts of robbery and possessing a controlled drug.

Daniel Moran (30/03/1996), from Rochdale, arrested on Wednesday (23 September) evening has since been charged with assault and criminal damage and bailed with conditions to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on 12 October.

Ashley Greenwood (23/07/1988), from Rochdale, answered his bail and has since been charged with possessing a controlled drug with intent to supply and bailed to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates court on 13 November.

Friday 25 September

A man aged 22 was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle and failure to stop for an officer when requested to do so.

A 44-year old Rochdale man was arrested for threats to kill and breach of the peace.

A 27-year-old Rochdale man was arrested for harassment and threats to destroy property.

Gillian Pugh (22/01/1978), local to Heywood, answered her bail and has since been charged with an assault and bailed with conditions to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on 6 November.
