Beech House School
The pupils enjoyed wearing their own clothes on ‘Jeans for Genes Day’, raising £261.90 in the process.
Reading Evening:
Parents are reminded that the Nursery and Reception Reading Evening takes place on Thursday 1 October at 6.00pm. This will be followed by the New Parents Social Evening at 7.00pm. Both events will be held at the Manchester Road site.
Art Festival:
This week the ISA North of England Art Festival taking place once again at Beech House. Exhibits from numerous schools from Early Years to u18 will be judged and the winning entries will go forward to the National Finals.
The Festival is open for viewing on Wednesday 30 to the 1 October. The prize giving will take place on 1 October at 2.00pm.
Netball:
The netball season started with away matches against Holy Family. The u15 side lost a close fought contest 2 : 4, whilst the u13 side went down 0 : 7. Player of the day was Sarah Karim.
Football:
The soccer season started with games against Kingsway Park. The u15 lost 2 : 13 with two wonderful goals were scored by Mani Farid and Archie Parnell, Archie's a 30 yard screamer into the top corner was goal of the day. The u13 side lost 1 : 9 with Man of the Match Hashim Mahmood ensured the score line didn't get too far out of hand with excellent saves, often when the Kingsway attackers looked certain to score.
