35 council workers sacked

35 employees have been fired from Rochdale Council following disciplinary hearings over the last three years.
There has been 80 disciplinary hearings leading to the 35 dismissals.
Across Greater Manchester, council workers have been hauled before council bosses for disciplinary hearings more than 1,000 times in the past five years. Employees were charged with a range of misconduct offences including fraud, theft, going absent without leave, and misuse of IT equipment.
