Nominate a young person for the Mayor’s Youth Awards
Date published: 16 September 2015
The Mayor’s Youth Awards honour youngsters who have achieved something special through charity work, working in the community or enhancing the wellbeing of their peers.
The Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Surinder Biant, said: “These awards are our way of showing our genuine appreciation for the good work that is done by a wide cross-section of our young community.
"We are lucky to have a lot of young people in the borough who take a real interest in helping others, so if you know someone who deserves to be recognised please don’t hesitate to nominate them.”
Nominations close on Friday 2 October, with entries judged by a panel of young people.
Anyone can nominate a young person who lives in the borough aged 11-19, or up to 25 if they have a disability.
Nominees will be invited to an awards ceremony on Thursday 3 December, with winners presented their award by Mayor Biant.
