Greg Stuttle, Business Development Manager at GJD recently took part in a gruelling three day, 250 mile charity cycling challenge to help raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Greg, Business Development Manager at Heywood-based GJD, was one of 200 cyclists that rode from Kent to the Palace of Versailles in France. He said: “I completed this ride with my brother John last year and it inspired six of my friends to join me this year, so we created The Essex Boys Team.
“The cycling challenge was both physically and mentally exhausting. However, when I crossed the finish line I was extremely happy and pleased that I had helped to raise funds for a wonderful charity”.
This year, Greg has raised £600 for the British Heart Foundation but it is expected that the Essex Boys Team will raise £2,000 in total.
The British Hearth Foundation has also announced that from sponsorship paid through JustGiving, the cycling challenge has raised at least £200,000.
