Attempted armed robbery of cash in transit van at Sandbrook Park

An armed offender brandishing a crowbar attempted to steal cash from a transit van on Tuesday (1 September).
It is understood that whilst the security guard was in the van on Sandbrook Park, the offender hit the passenger window with a crowbar. The window did not smash.
The alarm was raised and the offender made off in the direction of Pizza Hut.
It is currently unclear if any arrests have been made.
