Man collapses from heart attack at Hollingworth Lake

A man was taken to hospital on Thursday (20 August) afternoon after reportedly collapsing from a heart attack.
Onlookers stated that staff from Hollingworth Lake Activity Centre came to the rescue of the man, approximately in his 50s, and was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and a defibrillator was used to restart his heart, whilst paramedics were on the way.
The Ambulance Service confirmed that they received a call at 12:54pm and that the man was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital.
