Flooding across the borough

Parts of the borough were affected by flooding on Friday (14 August) due to heavy rain.
Land on New Road, Littleborough, which is being considered for a housing development, flooded after the downpours throughout the day.
Armitage Road in Middleton also flooded with the road no longer visible due to the amount of rain covering it.
Rhodes in Middleton saw traffic come to a standstill with traffic having to turn around following flooding.
The Met Office has revealed that in Rochdale, 37.8mm of rain fell throughout the day.
