Temporary Signals on Todmorden Road near its junction with Barnes Meadow and also near its junction with Dearden Street to facilitate the replacement of frame and covers in the carraigeway.

Edenfield Road, Rochdale (A680)
From 10 August 2015 until 21 August 2015
Minor impact, delays possible.

Traffic control:
Temporary Signals on Edenfield Road near its junction with Moorland Terrace and Meadow View to facilitate the emergency repairs to a high voltage cable.

Whitworth Road, Rochdale (A671)
From 5 August 2015 until 21 August 2015
Medium impact, delays possible.

Traffic control:
Temporary Signals on Whitworth Road from its junction with Greenbank Road to its junction with Shawclough Way to facilitate the safe installation of a high voltage mains cable.

Townhead junction (A58) (A671)
From 22 June 2015 until 29 November 2015 (subject to change)
Major impact, delays expected.
The alternative route for vehicles for the temporary No Left Turn is via John Street, Entwisle Road, Yorkshire Street/Halifax Road.
The alternative routes for vehicles for the temporary Road Closures are via:
Baillie Street – Milton Street, Smith Street, Entwisle Road, Yorkshire Street,
John Street – Entwisle Road, Yorkshire Street and vice versa,
Whitworth Road – Howard Street, Falinge Road, Sheriff Street, Spotland Road, St Mary’s Gate and vice versa.

  • Temporary Road Closure on Baillie Street from its junction with Milton Street to its junction with John Street. From 12.01am 20th July 2015 until midnight 6 September 2015.
  • Temporary Road Closure on John Street for its entire length. From 12.01am 20th July 2015 until midnight 6 September 2015
  • Temporary Road Closure on Whitworth Road from its junction with St Mary’s Gate/Yorkshire Street to its junction with Duke Street. From 12.01am 20th July 2015 until midnight 6 September 2015

To facilitate the safe removal and reconstruction of traffic islands as part of the junction layout amendment works.

Rooley Moor Road, Rochdale

From 8am until 3.30pm 23 August 2015 only
Minor impact, delays possible. The alternative route for vehicles is via Rooley Moor Road, Edenfield Road, Ings Lane, Rooley Moor Road and vice-versa.

Temporary Road Closure of Rooley Moor Road from its junction with Edenfield Road to its junction with Marlborough Street to facilitate the safe replacement of a damaged frame and cover.

Verdun Crescent, Rochdale
From 12.01am 11 August 2015 until midnight 17 August 2015
Minor impact, delays possible. Access to properties will be maintained as much as is practicable.

Overtown Lane, Rochdale

Temporary Road Closure of Overtown Lane from a point 50 metres north of its junction with Edenfield Road for approximately 125 metres to facilitate the safe upgrade of the carriageway surfacing.

  • Packer Street for its entire length.
  • Town Hall Square for its entire area.
  • Vicar’s Gate for its entire length.
  • Nelson Street from its junction with Vicar’s Gate to its junction with King Street.
  • The alternative route for vehicles is via King Street.
  • The Esplanade from its junction with Vicars Gate for its entire length in an easterly direction, including the area in front of the Town Hall used as a car park.
  • South Parade for its entire length.
  • Yorkshire Street from its junction with Newgate to its junction with Baillie Street.
  • Baillie Street from its junction with Yorkshire Street to its junction with Milton Street.
  • Constantine Road for its entire length.
  • Penn Street for its entire length except for access.
  • Milton Street from its junction with Baillie Street to its junction with Smith Street.
  • Smith Street from its junction with Milton Street to its junction with John Street.
  • John Street from its junction with Yorkshire Street to its junction with Entwisle Road.
  • Molesworth Street from its junction with Water Street to its junction with Smith Street.
  • Entwisle Road from its junction with John Street to its junction with Selby Street.
  • Belfield Road for its entire length.
  • Reservoir Street for its entire length.
  • Albert Royds Street from its junction with Reservoir Street to its junction with Kingsway/Milnrow Road/Rochdale Road.
  • Milnrow Road from its junction with Albert Royds Street to Rochdale Road.
  • Rochdale Road for its entire length.
  • Elizabethan Way from its junction with Rochdale Road to its junction with Harbour Lane.
  • Buckley Hill Lane for its entire length.
  • Lower Lane from its junction with Buckley Hill Lane to its junction with Sir Isaac Newton Way.
  • Bridge Street from its junction with Harbour Lane North to its junction with Elizabethan Way.
  • The alternative route for vehicles is via St Mary’s Gate, Yorkshire Street, Halifax Road, Smithy Bridge Road, Milnrow Road, Wildhouse Lane, Kiln Lane, Dale Street, Newhey Road, Elizabethan Way, Sir Isaac Newton Way, Kingsway, Milnrow Road, Drake Street, Manchester Road and vice-versa.

The following roads will be subject to No Waiting at Any Time from 1pm 22 August 2015 until 1pm 23 August 2015.

 

 

  • The Esplanade from its junction with Vicars Gate for its entire length in an easterly direction, including the area in front of the Town Hall used as a car park.

The following road will be subject to a temporary suspension of One-Way from 5am until 1pm 23 August 2015.

 

 

  • Hamer Lane for its entire length.
