The Springhill Hospice annual Hospice to Hospice sponsored walk raised £11,400
The Springhill Hospice annual Hospice to Hospice sponsored walk, which saw 300 participants walking the 7.25 mile circular route via Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in Oldham, raised a record breaking £11,400.
“Everyone here at the Hospice is absolutely thrilled,” said Community Fundraising Lillie Winterbottom, adding: “The numbers of people taking part in this event have trebled over the last two years and now too the fundraising.
"Last year the event raised just of £8,200, this year our supporters have surpassed themselves both in numbers and financially.
“The walk raises money for the two hospices and is a great opportunity to raise awareness in both communities, Rochdale and Oldham working together for the same purpose, palliative care in their respective communities.”
