Cherwell Summer Fair

Date published: 05 August 2015

The PossAbilities Service at the Cherwell Centre in Heywood held their summer fair and raised £1,300.

Held in and around the centre, the event included activities for everyone such as a car boot sale, stalls, a tombola, raffle, coconut shy, face painting, balloons, stocks and music. There was also a BBQ, ice cream, a candy cart and the café and farm were open throughout the day.

The Mayor of Rochdale Councillor Surinder Biant and Mayoress Cecile Biant attended, as well as Spiderman and Princess Elsa.

A spokesperson for the Cherwell Centre said: “The fair went very well. The sun was shining and everybody seemed to enjoy the summer fair, including service users, staff, family of service users and members of the public.”
