Finn Ashworth embarked on epic adventure at the Legoland Discovery Centre

Six-year-old Finn Ashworth embarked on an epic adventure with his parents, Martin and Rhiannon, on a recent VIP trip to Legoland Discovery Centre.

The attraction had transformed into the world of Ninjago to celebrate the release of the brand new Lego® Ninjago Airjitzu flyers.

Martin said: “Our day started with our excited six-year-old, Finn, showing his Ninjago moves before getting into the car and driving to the Trafford Centre. We were welcomed to Legoland Discovery Centre and directed to the Lego Factory.

“We were then shown how to make Lego, with the children helping to make the machines power up by shouting and jumping up and down to create a piece of Lego to take home.

“Next we went to make our Airjitzu spinners.

“The Airjitzu spinners are great fun and a lego version of a spinning top (but much more modern), following our Airjitzu spinning battle we met Kai the red Ninja, our Finn had a picture with him, again showing of some interesting skills.

“We moved onto the Ninjago Laser training game where Finn had an amazing time trying not to break the lasers and move through the dark tunnel as quick as possible. His Ninjago ninja speed was much faster than mine, being over 6ft and with a bad back, I broke near every laser… the ninja won!

“After a brew to recover we went onto to make some Ninjago masks and build some cars to race down one of the two race tracks, we then joined the queue for the 4D cinema and watched a Lego film in 3D with some extra special effects - we got wet!

“We spent the rest of our time building cars, chasing ‘bad guys’ in the police cars driven by kids and trying to fly as high as possible on the Merlin flyer, not forgetting rescuing a princess whilst battling skeletons and trolls with laser guns on a chariot."

The Legoland® Discovery Centre also offers a Forest Pursuit Driving School and gives visitors the chance to become the latest recruit to the Ninjago Laser Training Camp. And, as always, there’s plenty of Lego® to keep you busy, including the Miniland, where all of Manchester’s top attractions have been created from Lego®, or for an out of this world experience, head to the Lego® Star Wars display and see Anakin, Padme and Obi-Wan fight to their doom.

For younger guests there’s the Duplo® Village where you can get hands on with your little ones and let their imagination fuel their Duplo® brick creations. There’s also the brand new Lego® Duplo® Farm - don’t forget to take a photo with the farmyard cow.
