Costa Coffee offering £250 community grant

Date published: 21 July 2015

Costa Coffee is offering a community grant to a worthy local cause.

As a way of putting something back into the area, Ashleigh Nicholson, manager of the new Costa Coffee in the Rochdale Exchange, is offering the £250 cash bonus to a worthy local cause which benefits the community in some way.

Applications for the grant, which will be awarded annually to a single worthy cause, are being invited from any group that wants to make a bid including sports clubs, local charities and hobby groups.

Ms Nicholson said: “Costa believes it is very important to do something to help the areas in which their branches are based, so we’ve therefore just launched our community funding scheme for Rochdale.

“This means we’ll be giving a donation of £250 in cash to a worthy cause which in some way benefits the local community.”

To make a bid for the grant, either write or call Ashleigh Nicholson on 01706 342 689.

Written submissions can be dropped off at the shop, or posted to Ashleigh Nicholson, Costa Coffee, 3 Market Way, Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre, Newgate, Rochdale, OL16 1YL.

Include full contact details, a description of the group, membership and activities, and details of what the money would spent on.

Applications should arrive by 5pm on Friday 7 August.
