The Crimble host charity fun day for Red-Aid

Date published: 19 July 2015

The Crimble restaurant played host to a fun day to raise money for Red-Aid.

The fun day, which was held throughout the restaurant on Saturday (18 July), included a bouncy castle, a fire engine, stalls, face painting and children’s entertainment.

Helen Spratt, from The Crimble, said: “The charity got in touch with us and asked if we could help with the fun day because they are a relatively new charity and don’t have a lot of support yet.

“We are pleased with how it has gone and we already have another event planned for September.”

Mark Dale, from Red-Aid, added: “The Crimble have been great with hosting the event and have done a great job.

"Hopefully we can raise a few hundred pound from today.”

Red-Aid is a charity that provides the relief of children aged up to 19, who have a learning disability including their families and carers in Rochdale and its surroundings, by providing such assistance as the trustees in their absolute discretion deem appropriate, above and beyond that which is provided on the national curriculum.

The next Red-Aid fun day at The Crimble will be on Saturday 5 September between 12pm and 4pm.
