Rochdale Council is due to visit a playing field in Norden, which is currently under threat of being sold.
It is understood that the Chairman of the Rochdale Township committee, Councillor Shaun O’Neill and the Chairwoman of the committee, Councillor Lynne Brosnan will visit the site on Tuesday 28 July, along with interested councillors and council officers before making a decision on the sites future.
A site visit was agreed in March 2015 following the decision by councillors to postpone the sale of the land.

It is believed that a decision on the land will then be made at the Rochdale Township Committee meeting in September.
The Friends of Heritage Green, a group of local residents who have come together to try and stop the sale of the land, have also written to Heywood and Middleton MP Liz McInnes in relation to their campaign and are currently working to register the land as a Village Green.
The site visit will take place at 4:45pm and should last around 15 minutes.
