Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace in connection with a report of indecent exposure.
Shortly before 2.10pm on Monday 1 June 2015 a man got onto the number 17 bus at Middleton bus station and, as the bus travelled through Castleton, he indecently exposed himself. A passenger on the bus challenged him and he stopped and apologised.
The man is described as white, about 5ft 7in tall, in his late 20s to early 30s, of medium build, and was wearing a white cap, blue jeans and long black jacket.
Police Constable Karen Quinlan of Rochdale division said: “The man exposed himself on a busy bus, not knowing if there were young children around.
“I would urge members of the public to take a good look at the image and if they believe they know or have seen this man in the area, to call us.
“Also, if you believe this man has approached you and you have not contacted police, I would ask you to as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information should phone police on 0161 856 8549 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
