Rochdale Town Centre left without water
Date published: 16 July 2015
A number of businesses in Rochdale Town Centre have been left without water this morning (Thursday 16 July) following a burst water pipe on Hunters Lane.
United Utilities are aware of the problem and are on site working to fix the issues.
United Utilities said: “You may have noticed that the water is coming out of your tap slower than usual or may have gone off altogether. We’ve been out to see what might be causing this and found a burst pipe on Hunters Lane.
“We’ve already got a team of engineers on site who are working hard to fix the pipe and we will update you of any changes.
“We’re sorry for the trouble this may be causing and we will get your taps flowing normally again as quickly as we can.”
It is currently unclear what affect the issue is having on businesses but The Pioneers Museum has decided to close for the day.
A spokesperson for the Museum said: “Due to no running water, we regret that the museum will not open today. We apologise for any inconvenience.”
It is currently unclear when the issue is due to be fixed.
