Abracadabra Pre-school
Children and staff of Abracadabra Pre-school are preparing for their Graduation Ceremony next Friday, 17 July, on their final day before moving onto ‘big school’.
The children are expected to wear caps and gowns, presented with scrolls, and have their photograph taken in true graduation fashion for their parents to watch.
Abracadabra are also holding a Build-A-Bear party the day before the ceremony, as part of the celebrations from the Ofsted ‘outstanding in all areas’ results achieved earlier this year in March.
The party is significant because the younger children are called cubs and the older children are called bears, so it is revelling the transition.
Other recent celebrations have included tea parties with cakes they have made themselves, a trip to the library, and nature walks looking around the environment.
Mrs Sharon Hughes, the manager, said: “It’s such an achievement for us to have such an outstanding grading from Ofsted as I am not sure that anywhere else in our area has achieved so highly. I am absolutely thrilled as a lot of hard work has gone into getting this result, from the staff and from the parents.
“We hope to maintain and carry on the high standard next year because it is exciting to be acknowledged on a high level.”
